About Me

My photo
Doug Ruffle
I was born in New York and grew up in New Jersey. I have served churches in New Jersey and in Argentina, where I worked with the Methodist Church of that country. For ten years I served as Director of Congregational Development for the Greater New Jersey Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church. Currently I serve as the Associate Executive Director of Path 1, the New Church Starts Division of Discipleship Ministries of The United Methodist Church. I am a United Methodist minister open to all religions and to those who profess no religion at all. I believe in Life lived abundantly. This blog is not in any way associated with the organization and publishing entity that is called THE UPPER ROOM. I know many people who work there and who work for the international editions. This blog, however, while having a view of that wonderful space, is my responsibility alone.
